Krakout 2 is the second release of a remake of the popular classic Krakout game for Commodore 64. The objective is to destroy bricks keeping the ball inside the game area by bouncing it using a paddle. In the essence, it's a variant of the famous Breakout, but one rotated 90 degrees anticlockwise. It does offer more of a challenge because of the orientation, as well as new levels and monsters.
The gameplay was kept the same: you get a paddle, a ball and blocks to be destroyed in order to move on to another level. New power-ups and prizes are present but the traditional ones are still there, too. More types of blocks have been added as well as new levels offering seemingly endless entertainment. Another thing worth mentioning about it is the fact that enemies were introduced into the game, so aside from breaking walls, players will also have to defeat enemies using the ball, lasers, bombs and other items they manage to collect. This game offers hours of fun, all new levels, and some customization prior to starting. You will also get to publish your high scores online, thus competing with players from around the world.
